Matsuo Lab’s robot team won 3rd place in the world competition.

TRAIL, a subgroup on robotics in Matsuo Lab, participated in the RoboCup@Home 2023 held in Bordeaux, France, from July 4 to 10, 2023.
The team contested in the “Domestic Standard Platform League (DSPL),” where they competed in the performance and technology of life support tasks in the home using a standard robot,
We are pleased to announce that the team is awarded as the 3rd in the competition despite this being their first time participating in the competition.

Our goal is to realize general household service robots in which humans and robots can coexist,
In the competition, we presented a robot system that understands the context of natural interaction between a human and a robot in the home.

Based on the experience gained through this competition and the challenges we discovered, we will continue to work on building a better robot system.
