To advance artificial intelligence technology, we are conducting fundamental research anticipating the future and taking on the challenge of “creating intelligence” through research on data analysis and knowledge extraction using Deep Learning and Web mining.

In particular, we consider Deep Learning as an important technology gateway to true artificial intelligence (strong AI), and we are pursuing its research as a pillar of our activities.

We offer several courses such as Web Engineering, which teaches the essence of web engineering from both technical and business perspectives, Global Consumer Intelligence (GCI), which teaches data science and the analysis of global consumption, and DL, which teaches both theory and implementation of Deep Learning.

All courses are both theoretical and practical, with a strong emphasis on business applications and the development of implementation skills, allowing students to enhance their abilities.

One of the important missions of the Matsuo Laboratory is to create a new industrial ecosystem by generating venture startups and returning new technologies to society. We encourage and support entrepreneurship among students, faculty, and staff alike.
