The “Matsuo Lab Startups” are a select group of startups founded by or with the support of Matsuo Lab graduates that have been recognized for their growth potential in both technology and business capabilities. Those companies also share the philosophy of the Matsuo Lab and work together to foster the next generation of startups.

The Matsuo Institute will continue to nurture startup companies to return the latest technology to society and realize a new ecosystem through industry-academia collaboration.

“Matsuo Lab/Koto College Startups” are companies founded by students of Kosen (technical colleges) with support from Matsuo Lab, which have been selected for their growth potential in terms of both technology and business capabilities. Those companies also share the philosophy of Matsuo Lab and are committed to fostering the next generation of entrepreneurs. 

“Kigyo (Entrepreneurship) Quest” is an AI startup entrepreneurship training program developed under the supervision of Professor Matsuo, based on an analysis of successful startup models from the Matsuo Lab to increase the success rate of student entrepreneurs. The program systematizes the efforts of the Matsuo Lab to nurture student entrepreneurs.

The program is open to a wide range of students, and participants can systematically learn and acquire basic knowledge of AI technology, practical skills for social implementation, and knowledge necessary for entrepreneurship, such as finance and legal affairs, through university lectures and certified engineering internships provided by private companies.
