Kuang-Huei Lee, a researcher at Google DeepMind (https://kuanghuei.github.io/), visited Matsuo Lab on Tuesday, May 21st. Kuang-Huei Lee was previously affiliated with the Department of Technology Management for Innovation at the University of Tokyo, where Matsuo Lab is based. He is currently collaborating with Hiroki Furuta, a third-year Ph.D. student.
During this visit, we had discussions about the research with each other, including the introduction of Matsuo Lab and the project on foundation models at Google DeepMind.
- Introduction of Matsuo Lab and Research on Robotics (Tatsuya Matsushima, Postdoc)
- Research on Optimizer and Diffusion Models (Shohei Taniguchi, Postdoc)
- Research on RL Theory (Toshinori Kitamura, D3)
- Research on Video Diffusion Models (Yuta Oshima, M2)
- Towards General Intelligent Agents with Foundation Models (Kuang-Huei Lee)
- Visiting TRAIL and Discussion on Robotics
At Matsuo Lab, several students are involved in joint research with international researchers, including those from Google DeepMind. We actively engage in discussions with members outside the lab.
We aim to continue such proactive exchanges beyond the boundaries of our lab in the future. Thank you, Kuang-Huei Lee, for visiting Matsuo Lab.
