GCI World is a global AI and data science program offered by the Matsuo-Iwasawa Laboratory at The University of Tokyo.
Through the GCI World Global Ambassador Program, you can introduce GCI World to friends, classmates, and students in your community, help grow our global learning network, and receive special recognition based on your successful referrals.

Students who participated in either:
- GCI World 2026 April
- GCI Global 2025
Who can be referred?
Students who are applying to GCI World for the first time.
Previous GCI World participants are not eligible as referred applicants for this campaign.

What counts as a successful referral?
A referral is counted when a new applicant submits a valid GCI World application and enters your referral code in the designated field on the application form.
Make sure your friends enter your referral code when they submit their application.
Eligibility & Conditions
- The campaign period runs from August 28 to September 24, 2026.
- Referrers must have participated in GCI World 2026 April or GCI Global 2025.
- Referred applicants must be students who are applying to GCI World for the first time.
- Only valid new applications submitted with your referral code will count toward your referral total.
- Each applicant may use only one referral code.
- Duplicate, fraudulent, invalid, or self-referrals will not be counted.
- Referred applicants must independently satisfy the eligibility requirements for GCI World.
- Ambassador status is based on the final number of valid referrals confirmed by the GCI World administration team.
- Details of homework waivers, 1-on-1 sessions, and other rewards may be subject to change depending on program circumstances.

Can I invite students from another university or country?
Yes. You are welcome to introduce GCI World to eligible students at universities and communities around the world.
When does a referral count?
A referral counts after a valid GCI World application has been submitted using your personal referral code.
What happens if I reach a higher Ambassador tier?
Your Ambassador status will reflect the highest referral threshold you achieve based on your confirmed referral total.
When will I receive my Ambassador reward?
Eligible Ambassadors will be contacted by the GCI World team after referral totals have been verified. Specific details on how the incentives will be delivered will be shared separately with eligible participants by Week 3.
