On March 19, when the cherry blossoms were beginning to bloom here and there, we held a graduation party to celebrate the new beginnings of eight graduates and retirees who were leaving our laboratory.
The atmosphere was very friendly and homey, with lots of reminiscing and research talks.
At the end of the meeting, a ballpoint pen engraved with Matsuo Lab and their initials was given to each graduate and retiree as a surprise gift.
Although everyone’s path may be different, from major companies to start-ups to researchers, we all hope that they will make the most of what they have learned at Matsuo Lab and spread their wings far and wide.
Some of you will continue your research in our laboratory, and we hope to have the opportunity to work with all of you again someday on some project in your new fields!
Congratulations on your graduation!
