About

Matsuo-Iwasawa Lab is taking on the challenge to “create intelligence.”

Beginning with research on the web, we have taken on the challenge of researching the big data held by companies, deep learning, and other research ahead of its time.

Matsuo-Iwasawa Lab’s mission is to create new technologies that will serve as a guidepost for the future. At the same time, we are creating an ecosystem comprising research, education, social implementation, and incubation surrounding the technology.

Activities

Research

With the vision of “creating intelligence,” we are promoting research on deep learning. In particular, we are advancing research on world models, robotics research, large-scale language models, and brain x AI.

Lecture

We are actively promoting lecture activities intending to provide the results of basic research as valuable learning and high-quality education to many people, leading to changes in people, organizations, and, ultimately, society.

Startup

We also focus on incubation activities to produce 100 university-launched startups yearly that will promote digital transformation in their respective industries.

Social Collaboration

We are actively engaged in joint research with private companies to return academia’s findings to society.
