  • Our Laboratory’s Project Selected for the Economic Security Critical Technology Development Program (K Program)

We are pleased to announce that the proposal jointly submitted by researchers in our laboratory, “Extraction and Utilization of Tacit Knowledge through Hybrid Intelligence Enabling Bio-Experiments Beyond Skilled Experts,” has been selected as a research project under the theme “Research and Digital Infrastructure Technologies for Effective Transmission of Know-How in Human Task Transfer” in the Economic Security Critical Technology Development Program (K Program).

    Project Overview

    • Title: Extraction and Utilization of Tacit Knowledge through Hybrid Intelligence Enabling Bio-Experiments Beyond Skilled Experts
    • Research Content: In this project, we aim to develop a platform that enables non-experts to perform bio-experiments surpassing skilled experts, by extracting and integrating tacit knowledge through collaboration between AI and experts. To achieve this, we will develop:
      1. A plugin-type augmented clean bench with easily attachable sensors
      2. Hybrid Intelligence that extracts and integrates critical experimental know-how through dialogue between AI and experts
      3. A super-expert work support AI that assists non-experts by leveraging the integrated knowledge

    Recruitment Notice
We are recruiting a specially appointed researcher to work on implementing multimodal large language models for AI for Science and on building benchmarks for understanding bio-experiment protocols.
